Putting Workers on the Fast Track
Businesses celebrated the best of the best in Milton Keynes at a transformed Middleton Hall in thecentre:mk on Tuesday 12th October.
The Milton Keynes and North Bucks Chamber of Commerce's Annual Business Excellence Awards saw more than 500 people gather for a night of tears, cheers and celebration of achievement in tough economic circumstances.
Railcare were shortlisted in the "Excellence in People Development Award" sponsored by Mirus IT Solutions. The other two companies shortlisted were Coca-Cola Enterprises and Marcus Young Landscapes Ltd.
The judges said "Railcare demonstrated a real commitment to the training and development of their people operating in a safety critical environment. They have clearly displayed how they have used training and development to make a real difference in their business. A local company striving to be the best of what they do."
The great news is that Railcare won this category, with Andy Slater and Gerald Digby collecting the award on behalf of the training team and all the staff.
Special praise goes to Dave Hilliard who did an excellent job of completing the application to enter these awards, along with his team in the Training Department of Gerald Digby, Ian Morton and Ian Dunkley.
This is a fantastic achievement for Railcare and the workforce - well done!
