As part of the continual improvement and development of Railcares Training & Development processes, Railcare has worked with EAL Awards Ltd to provide a framework allowing us to issue its own "Engineering Production Units".
Railcare have now secured development pathways to deliver full NVQ qualifications at levels 2 & 3, with the option to assess against single ENR routes such as refurbishment, assembly, fabrication etc. These pathways will enable us to cover dismantling and re-assembly of complex and non complex equipment, including mechanical, electrical, vehicle structures and trim, which includes the use of paint finishing techniques.
The intention is to use these Railcare units to develop an increasingly flexible workforce, by gaining qualifications with units that are specifically designed for Railway activities. These qualifications will also be recognized via EAL at a national level.
